| | White House had to profusely apologize to Silvio Berlusconi
Sometimes reality is more ridiculous than fiction!
No extra credit for telling the truth. Talk about embarrassing. The White House had to profusely apologize to Silvio Berlusconi yesterday after it handed out a biography of the Italian prime minister that described him as "a political dilettante who gained high office only through use of his considerable influence on the national media." The WP's Al Kamen notes that the administration even managed to offend "all of Italy" by describing Berlusconi as "one of the most controversial leaders in the history of a country known for governmental corruption and vice." How did this happen? A cut-and-paste problem, of course. Turns out the bio was copied directly from a Web site and, apparently, the White House doesn't proofread.

Disgusting Democratic propaganda politics trying to under mind the strength of capitalists and the B&B relationship. It just goes to show you how desperate the Kennedy family wants the white house back. Well, keep voting Democratic .. stay poor, live off the government mentality. Hopefully with Berlusconi in charge this will soon disappear in Italy…Thank god! As far as the Corruption issue in Italy.. that will not disappear unless they get rid of all the Judges, it goes back far to deep, way before Berlusconi entered politics…these are just excuses to condemn his financial success. Sadly, Italians have always been envy of the rich.. bad attitudes!
Political update: Obama or McCain …it doesn’t matter, Brace yourselves… Iran is next! |

B&B relationship???? Che cos'e? I don't believe there are any Kennedys presently running for office. If there were, I'd vote for them!

“Unfortunately”!!! Why do you think the majority of Blacks are still poor in America because they keep voting for the Democratic Party? Do you really believe Jessie Jackson gives a dam? Did you see how upset, stupid, and jealous he reacted towards Obama because he started moving closer to the center of the field? I have to give Obama credit for that move as you can’t be totally one sided! |

Political update: Obama or McCain …it doesn’t matter, Brace yourselves… Iran is next! | Hi Franco
As a "legal alien", I really should avoid politics. However, I'm interested in your views - whilst Berlusconi's business savvy is obviously brilliant (if not always 100% legal - maybe in a year or two we will find out for certain), how do you feel about the laws recently passed that will (again) exempt him from any trials? I would agree that Italy needs a good business brain to sort out the economic problems, but does he really put Italy's best interests above his own?

Hi Frank
1- I disagree completely about the Democratic party - The US was never in such bad shape on all aspects - as under the Bush administration - The country was much better off under Clinton - even the budject was almost balanced. How comes the White house never wrote a bad comment on the Saudi Government for example ....is the Saudi governemt example better than Italian ?
2- I agree with you about the judges in Italy. Berlusconi has now being elected the third time and with a vast majority. The judges should do the interest and the will of the country at this point - What they are doing now is ridicolous : It would be like having Clinton elected the third time and the Starr investigation still going on.... The judges should worry more about making laws that are easy to follow instead of promoting impossible laws. Does anybody know that judges in Italy are openly politically affiliated ?? A judge should be impartial - not playing polictics. I never voted for Berlusconi but now I regret not having done so.
