Talking Hoping To Return To Italy--Again! LOL

I posted this in the other section above, but saw that this section was actually the Introductions section. So I reposted. Sorry for being annoying.

Ciao Tutti,

This is Leilani, and I am delighted that I have stumbled upon this Forum! I've certainly got some research to do, LOL.

I am a US Disabled Veteran who is hoping to return to Italy and live off my government payments, working online, and possibly operating my own Bed & Breakfast someday. Big dreams, hahaha!

I spent 3 years of my life in Aviano (Friuli) from ages 18-21 and then spent another year in The Lake Garda/Verona area when I was 26.

Now I am 30 and my dream is to return to Italy and retire on The Amalfi Coast in either Amalfi or Positano. I just think Campania is so beautiful and I really loved everything about the region. Even Naples.

I am planning (and praying) on making a trip to start 'accommodation hunting' later this year. I know about the whole Visa thing, so I will be staying for less than 90 days.

Anyway... just wanted to say CIAO!!!

Ciao Leilani. Bevenuto. I was in Vicenza for two years. I've been anche to Aviano, Lago di Garda, Verona, Cortina,
Bolzano, Merano, Belluno, Bassano Del Grappa, Udine, Treviso etc. etc. Would go one weekend to Venezia then the next
weekend to Verona. Did a lot of skying in the alps around Madonna di Campiglio in Trentino and of course Cortina.
La gente non sa how beautiful it is around there. Tu sei molto afortunato. Bravo. Complimenti!

I'll be in Verona, Vicenza and that whole beautiful area this June 2009.

Well lucky you! The region is beautiful indeed, but what part of Italy isn't absolutely breathtaking?

Thanks for the warm welcome! The people on the last Italy Forum I joined were SO RUDE to newcomers... and most of them had never even been to Italy. I think I will like it here a LOT better.

Hello Leilani, and welcome here with us.
For sure you will have such a better time here, we are all very friendly and willing to help
About Campania, I was born there and always lived there, and probably I can't see it with the eyes of the first time, but I suppose it must be beautiful The Costiera Amalfitana is truly a blessing, overwhelmingly (?) beautiful. But if you'll retire here and have lots of time to spend, don't forget to look for little beautiful towns in the inside of the region, maybe I say this cause I was born there, but it's really wonderful.

Thank you for the warm welcome, Zidanie5. Yes... Costiera Amalfitana is truly a blessing indeed. I would like to live in either Amalfi or Positano so that one day, if I am blessed enough to operate my own B&B, there will be many tourists around the city that will want to book a room with me... but yes... the entire coast is paradiso.

I see you live in Naples. Brava!
