Default G'day from Australia

Ciao, I was born in England multi anni fa, 1946, and I have lived in Australia since 1971. I became interested in Italy a few years ago. It's a long and involved story how this happened
as I have absolutely no connection with Italy. It started with a $5 wager, and it has resulted with me having visited Italy twice, (it's a darned long way from where I live!) and I can talk Italian a bit. No one can understand me when I talk Italian, but I won the bet, and that's the main thing.

I plan to visit Italy again later this year.

Phil.

Ciao, you have made me feel welcome, grazie.

The story. Well a bunch of us blokes that have known each other for 30-40 years were having a chat. We were all born in 1946 and had just turned 60. We started talking about things that we always wanted to do but never got around to doing. And we challenged each other to do something about doing something about it.

I ended up visiting Venice, and winning the small wager.
Dick never made a free fall parachute descent, Mikey did not start his own business, Gerry is no longer with us and Rick remarried, which is good for him but he had done that before so it did not count. I collected a dollar each from the others on my return when i paraded my Venetian tee-shirt.

Changed my life it did.

G'day Phil! (maybe that should be Ciao Phil?)...

Odd, you're going to Italy this summer (winter) and we're headed for Oz. I'd prefer to be headed back to Italy but the spouse says we've got to be frugal this year. As a result, we'll be taking your place at events in Sydney, Cairnes and Melbourne.

Enjoy your visit to Italy - I'm jealous!

Welcome here Phil, I hope you can improve your Italian (or from what I understood, make it something more similar to real one ), and I think we'll make you want to cut short the times for your next visit here!
Welcome again, and good posts!
