I agree...I personaly think that Italian is harder to learn than Spanish. In Italian there are about nine different ways to say the various prepositions: like "in" and "on". Also, I found that when I was in my first Italian Class, it was difficult to get used to the fact that Italian does not use the letter "S" to form plurals.
libro = book
libri = books
Still though, you should never be discouraged and as we have said 100 times on this forum....once you learn one romance language it becomes so much easier to learn a second one. The sound and pronunciation may change but many of the rules are the same. I compare it to driving on two different highways. The two highways are not exactly the same but in the end, the same basic rules apply: rules for merging, exiting, speed etc.
