Anyways welcome gw3nzon hope you enjoy your time here and you wrote just fine don't worry about it.
I learned Italian first and then Spanish was easier to learn. You can think of it the other away around too. Latin was spoken in Spain for 840 years. The same basic Latin that was spoken in the Roman Empire in what is now Italy. I've been to France 4 times and have studied French. Portuguese was easy to learn became it is 80% the same as Spanish. Once you know Italian piu o meno then Spanish would be relativamente easy for you.

I agree...I personaly think that Italian is harder to learn than Spanish. In Italian there are about nine different ways to say the various prepositions: like "in" and "on". Also, I found that when I was in my first Italian Class, it was difficult to get used to the fact that Italian does not use the letter "S" to form plurals.

libro = book
libri = books

Still though, you should never be discouraged and as we have said 100 times on this forum....once you learn one romance language it becomes so much easier to learn a second one. The sound and pronunciation may change but many of the rules are the same. I compare it to driving on two different highways. The two highways are not exactly the same but in the end, the same basic rules apply: rules for merging, exiting, speed etc.
