Question Italian Bellflower plant

My friend has got herself an Italian Bellflower plant, also known as the Star of Bethlehem. Its scientific name is Campanula isophylla. It looks like a gathering of tufts with 4-5 inch long stems. It has white flowers, bell-shaped, opening into a star –quite pretty actually. I do think it is from Italy, and it needs extra care as well a greenhouse to grow in. My friend has put it in her living room, but I am afraid it will get damaged soon. Any advice?
