Default Is anyone else getting the Gardening bug?

It's time to start planting seeds to start inside. I purchased a flourescent light fixture and built a stand for it to fit on, now I am ready to start my seeds
I have purchased some seeds from an Italian seed company and I am anxious to get started. I will probably start this weekend and hopefully by next weekend I will have some little seedlings to watch grow.
In about 2 months I'll plant them in the ground and wait for them to produce. Yum, can't wait!

Not yet for me Danno - stuck between houses, so it's not worth planting here. The garden is a former pine forest and needs lime or some form of alkali to combat the acidic soil. Can't wait for the new one though - no pine trees!

"chitting" may be legal up t' north, but us southern softies don't understand what it is - I bet you spend your gardening time singing "On Ilkey moor bar tat"

Can't believe my tomato plants lasted all winter. Where else but in sunny California. It's only Feb.
but our trees have been blooming for weeks and have leaves on them. Should have a lot of peaches this
year. Have lemon, orange, lime and avocado trees.
10 minutes from my house we have strawberry and corn fields.

Time to plant some more tomato plants.

I'm living in DC right now and my garden is in Cape Cod. I get to go back for three weeks in MArch and will start the seeds indoors. And then when I get back the begining of MAy I'll move them out side. THATS IF MY HUSBAND REMEMBERS TO WATER THEM. Washington is starting to get buds and flower are up about 5 inches so spring is on its way. DC has a beautiful spring with the cherry blossoms. Now the cape doesnt come alive till May. So I have 2 springs this year. I plant a large garden and can or freeze the veg. I get about 100pds of tomatoes for sauce all winter.
