Default Re: Italian food (pizza) better in Italy or where you live?

There used to be a great pizza place in Hawthorn, Melbourne, the pizza oven was proper, flames, wood and all...and there was a great kosher place in St Kilda.

But now fresh from Naples, I am with Zidanie...they are unbelievable, tomato, basil that is it. Stunning.

For me thin base, not too much cheese and quality ingredients.

I do a pizza with thin slices of smoked salmon, some dill and small amount of Mozzarella - very popular when I make it.
