Default Gnocchi alla cannella

Gnocchi alla cannella (Cinnamon Gnocchi)
From: www.cookingwithpatty.com

Ingredients:

Potato Gnocchi
butter
cinnamon
sugar if desired

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Gnocchi as normal.
2. Melt the butter, about 1 Tbsp per serving, in a pan being
careful not to brown it.
3. Put the gnocchi in the butter, mix a bit and then remove them
with a slotted spoon allowing the excess butter to drip off.
4. Add cinnamon and sugar to taste and serve hot.

Traditionally these gnocchi were served with butter, cinnamon and sugar, this is a heritage from the Austrian Empire.

Giacomo! That sounds delish and will try it soon. Have to find the cinnamon in the market. Btw, our flat here is considered furnished, but we had to provide kitchen stuff, pots, pans, dishes, sheets & towels. Haven't found a slotted spoon here, yet. No one seems to understand what I'm looking for, so the search continues.

At the market, in the dairy section, I found fresh lasagne pasta sheets. Last night I made lasagne, oh my, that pasta melts in the mouth, it was amazing. We couldn't believe how good it was. Also used ricotta pecora and mozzarella di bufala compana, so yummy! But the pasta, wow. At home I make my own pasta, it's so easy and so good, but this pasta was actually better than my home made, that's saying something! LOL
