Default French and Italian cusine more similar than diffrent

Eating a lot(forse troppo)of good French home cooking qui in France. (Several courses sempre
just like in Italy.) We start with bread and sasuage. Then on to salad. Then the main course
which can vary molto. Per esempio baked chicken or steak with cut baked potatoes stewed in the
juice of the chicken or meat. A long with all this you got your green beans with mushrooms
and tomatoes. We're not done yet. Then you start eating cheese as if it were the dessert. Not
just one kind of cheese but many different kinds. Then you have your actual dessert which can
be good French, Swiss or Belgian chocolate.
When I lived in Italy I always ate the cheese right along with meal. However the French will
also put cheese in the salad. Don't forget the wine. My French host said Jesus drank wine so
we must have wine.) Oh by the way, you must break the bread with your hands because that's
also the way Jesus did it. Never cut the bread with a knife.

That was yesterday. Today we had all the above meno the meat and greenbeans. Oggi we had
Flammekische which is kind of like a different kind of pizza(no tomato sauce)and then on
top of that Italian pizza. In France we eat a lot of Italian pizza and pasta.

A proposito that flammekische comes from a French region where they speak both French and
German. Over the years it has switched hands between France and Germany. Well wouldn't you
know it. Italy has a German/Italian region anche. Probabilmente anche loro have something
like flammekische li.

Default French and Italian cusine

Ciao Villa
Yes my friend Bernadette left France 22 years ago and she told me that she notice a great difference now in the way of cooking : pasta and olive oil are all over now. Wine was big before in both countries. Also in fancy Italian restaurant I notice that second courses are very often similar to French dishes.
In January I spent time on a cruise around South America: there where several ethnic restaurants on the ship and I hated the Italian, it was awful ! I loved the french restaurant and I kept on going back there : The French restaurant on the ship had food more Italian than the Italian restaurant, believe it or not.
