Default authentic Italian cooking website

This website is run by a person who was born and still lives in Italy. Her recipes are 100% authentic and any novice cook of Italian Food can benefit from going to this site and viewing the recipes.

it's Italian recipe collection at Cooking with Patty, recipes and menus I would appreciate it if someone could give me some feedback about this site as I use it all the time to obtain recipes.

The recipe I looked at so far seemed pretty authentic. As soon as the new website will be ready i might also add a new recipe database. There is one now but apparently is too complicated and not used very much - The recipes however are from a top Italian cook ( Francesco )

Giacomo,
I looked at this website and the recipes reflect the use of best available in season prepared simply. Ideally if we follow the instructons of Marcella Hazen or Guilano Bugiali both of whom I have studied with, Patty is on the right track!!

Yes, I too thought that the recipes were authentic but I just wanted to make sure! I was surprised that Patty included the option for heavy cream in her recipe for spaghetti alla carbonara...I guess that there are exceptions to every rule and it depends on the region. The person who runs this website comes from Verona.

You are correct sir. You'd be surprised to see how much certain recipes can vary depending on region.

Well I notice the heavy cram issue on the carbonara too but I thought to let it go. In Italy use or cream disappeared with the 80s - Creams are out of fashion now - However the authentic recipe calls for butter so i guess there is no much difference in calories by using cream.

Yes I will keep the recipe and revive the product testing but it will all go into the main website.

Bringing the recipes on the main website will create less confusion here on the forum.

Agree that the receipts/products testing results should be on the main website.

but is there any way to know what is on the site? (e.g. sorry I wasn't aware that there is a section that contains receipts... If only I knew... as I do cook, u know that ;-)

Will the new website contain some kind of list of topics included? Like table of contents in the book?
