The bad news is that my 2004 BMW R1150 GS Adventure was written off during my 2009 Euro and Alps tour.

Since I was stopped in traffic while it happened, I can still consider myself "accident free". ;)

This is all thanks to an 18 year old driver with a 17 day old driver's licence on his CELL PHONE while I was touring in Austria north of Salzburg. Cell phone users....get a life or try sucking on our thumb as a replacement! By the way, the next cell phone driver that causes me grief, I am going to bludgeon to death with a baseball bat and I'm going to enjoy doing so!








The good news is that I am shipping my 2003 BMW R1150 GS Adventure over as a replacement. :p Did you really think I can give up motorcycling in Europe after 15 straight years of doing so?


And as an added present to myself for my misfortune, I bought myself a new ride...
