I have done some temperature/weather research on line but have found nothing decisive. I would appreciate suggestions as to the most pleasant region - weather-wise - for that time of year. I'm thinking South-East perhaps?

I could easily travel by train, but I'm feeling a bit adventurous, and I'd like to take the ferry instead.

I'm Australian, aged 64, I like a bit of comfort in my old age, but I'm used to roughing it a bit.

What Im wondering is that If I book a shared cabin for the night on the ferry, who might I have to share it with?

Has anyone here traveled on this ferry?

I'm a filmmaker from Sweden and I'm preparing a film story that takes place in Italy. I have been around some, but it was a while ago, and I'd just like to get some advice about good locations.

What I am searching for is a coast village, rather small, that is beatifully and dramatically set right at the sea, preferrably with azur-blue sea and high rocks/mountains surrounding. The village itself should be "climbing" on the mountain and should be full of old houses, a very traditional atmosphere with medieval roads and houses etc. It would be good also if a city is not too far away.

Any good tips?
