In a world of Expressions Video
This video was an idea of a friend of mine, Nicola Boccini who teaches ceramics at the school of Detuta. He was kind enough to add to the video 'in collaboration with Lifeinitaly.com ' thought I admit I did not do much to deserve ( except I did the translation from Italian to English ). Anyway here it is - Please wait till the end for the message.
This video performance is against politics, wars and extreme religions, made by Deruta Ceramic Art School and C.L.S an idea by my friend the artist Nicola Boccini.
You can contact me if you have a video of yourself blowing up a Ballon and we will add it to this video during the next editing

quante volte abbiamo visto esplodere cose o persone,
quante volte abbiamo visto cose incomprensibili e inumane,
quante volte,
ora noi tutti, indistintamente per razza, cultura e religione, lanciamo un esplosione di felicità
In a world full of hate and indifference.
In a world where a neighbor is an enemy to challenge and conquer,
In a world where small things and actions are no longer rewarded,
In a world now passionless and without character, lacking either an identity or rules,
In a world where egoism reigns, and power is the only God,
In a world where all sense of humanity is held hostage by money,
In a world that no longer recognizes the true values, the significance of life,
In a world where you serve a God, that arms you so that everyone can be converted to the only true and righteous religion,
In a world of expressions.
Game, fear and freedom are shared for moments of common life,
How many times we have seen things or people explode.
How many times we have seen incomprehensible things and inhumanity
How many times
Now all of us, whatever our race, culture or religion, launch an explosion of happiness

I like the message and its points, but as for the video itself, I just want to make some suggestions. These are just my opinion and suggestions, so take them as you like.
Firstly, it is very long! If the run time was cut much shorter, then people would still remain interested.
The only other thing that I suggest would be to have the opening credits either move faster, or combine the text so that you don't have as many fade in and fade outs to text, and get to the video quicker.
Other than that, a great video! I like the message it brings in an interesting way, very well done so far. I can't wait for the final cut!Posted 10-29-2007 at 06:26 PM by Dante

Balloons, Explosions and Italians
I agree that the beginning makes you too anxious being too long, needs to be cut short. The body of it drags on too long too, and in the end the explosive idea of anger in relevance to the balloons exploding touched me, but when it suddenly changed to happiness; I remained uncertain of its representation. It could be worked on, but the concept is delicious!

Great video, especially for the times in which we are currently living... although I was getting a little antsy and out of breath by watching these people blow up the balloons. I agree with everyone else that it needs to be cut shorter, and the credits put to the back or moved faster in the front in order to allow the whole message to sink in. Excellent concept, though =) and very well done. Bravissimo!Posted 10-30-2007 at 09:43 PM by Lauretta83
