Another turning point in my life

Tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of my life, because today I retire after 37 years with the US Government!
I leave with mixed emotions because I leave a lot of good friends and co=workers behind but then I get to enjoy my life and do anything I damned well please
My wife and I already booked a cruise down the Danube River that we will take in October. WE will go visit family that we haven't seen in a while and not worry about having to get back to work.I will check out the volunteer oppurtunities and help where I can and are able. I will try to fill in my wife's Honey Do lists, but a little at a time, between naps. I will take naps and not feel guilty! I will go fishing when I feel like it .
Today is a great day! Only six more hours to go.

Ciao Danno! Just saw your post that you were retiring. How is it going so far? When my mom retired she said, "It took all morning to get used to it." Ha ha. I hope you are enjoying yourself and finding rewarding volunteer work. Congrats and enjoy! MarthaPosted 06-19-2009 at 01:52 PM by Martha
