Tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of my life, because today I retire after 37 years with the US Government!
I leave with mixed emotions because I leave a lot of good friends and co=workers behind but then I get to enjoy my life and do anything I damned well please

My wife and I were able to take advantage of her father's frequent flyer miles to take a free plane trip to Italy. Due to the resrtictions we were only able to go from 20-24th of April. We decided to go for it.
We departed Dulles airport on Monday around 620PM arrived around 830AM Tuesday morning at Rome airport. After walking for miles to passport control and waiting for luggage and then getting the rental car we departed the airport at 10AM . It took almost an hour to get to the Autostrada...

Have you seen the new fad of growing tomatoes upside down? It's actually a pretty good idea if you think about it. I posted this in the forum but thought I would follow up in my blog.
I started all of my seeds in doors about 2 weeks ago. Some didn't come up at first so I re did them. Now, all of the seeds I have started have begun to sprout
I planted 4 kinds of tomatoes, 3 types of egg-o planto's, 2 types of peppers, basil and lettuce.
This weeekend I will set out my cold weather seeds, like friarielli, beets and arugala.

I guess I can say that I am one year old today! On March 12th of 2008 I was undergoing quadruple heart bypass surgery.I am able to love my wife and play with my grandchildren all to the grace of God! He and his angels were watching over me and I survived. I seem to be in better shape than I have been in a long time. Now I believe I can retire in June and enjoy life to it's fullest.Every day will be a Saturday
