Hi everybody!
I'm new here in this forum and in this site.
First of all I want to say thanks to Paolo Nascimbeni both for welcome he gave me in chat and, especially for this very important work to make other people to know our culture. I think that, generally speaking, knowig other cultures is one more step to the peace and anyway that Italian Culture is fantastic and important to know in particular for the long and important history Italy has both in the ancient past (Romans) and recently (Agreement of Rome for make the European Comunity).
After this i want make a promise to Paolo and to everybody here: from now i'll do my best to give infos and photos about my city, a city with a very very long history (about 3000years), art, romanticism and beauty that is not correct remember only for horrible facts of the G8 2001, a city very important in the history of the United States: the city where is born Cristoforo Colombo (I say that name in Italian because he is Italian).
This year i started to organize visits to the city especially but not only for students from abroad, it was great! and i'll organize these also in next academic year.
Is there anybody who will come here? Is there anybody interested to know Genoa? I hope so and i hope to write with you soon!:)
