I'm sorry if the title seems a bit mysterious. IT was meant to be. A little about myself. I'm born of Italian parents in Toronto, Canada. Toronto must have around 500,000 Italians now.... miss it. My brothers served in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII. I'm the baby. I served during peace. Now there's Afghanistan. My wife's uncle died while parachuting behind enemy lines in Italy during that war. I guess you can say his Italian was too good. I'm not too sure what my point is here so I'd best drop it. Anyway, lots of Italians in Toronto.

Met my wife online and married about 7 years ago. I still love her! Honeymooned in Italia where we met some of our cousins. I've been in love with Italy every since. We go there almost every year. The problem for us is where do we want to eventually settle down.

My Italian is dialect and even then it's pretty beaten up. My wife studied Italian in university and her father and mother were pretty good so she's doing OK. (By now I don't need to tell you that she's Italian/American. ) But when I speak Italian to my cousins for the first time, they die laughing. So, if anyone knows of an Italian lanuguage tutor here in the Boston area; a good one, let me know.

About Australia: there's a fair number of Italians in Melbourne and I have three first cousins there. We just returned from a three week vacation and I have this to say: It's COOOOLD here in Boston. Mystery solved, eh?

So here I am. On a web site about Italia maintained in Maryland, USA. The story of my life. At least my Italian wasn't good enough to get me shot.
