There's a good thread in another Italy forum about getting a driver's license. It has been helpful to me because I'm trying to get an Italian one...yeah...what joy!!

I've read that the English test is translated so badly that it's better to take the theory exam in Italian. I did and still failed!!! Well, I guess I was too confident??? I mean, 23 years with an American DL...what could be the problem??! Help! The theory exam is awful!

By the way, I'm fluent in Italian, and the terminology is still difficult.

I have a friend that is 51 and she doesnt speak Italian very well. I helped her study for this and I see how it is terrible. I can tell you that she took it orally in English and passed. Try it
