Hi everyone: it has been years since I was in my 20s and backpacked around Italy, but it has been on my list to retire there. I'm thinking of stopping work (English teacher) in 4 years and spending some satisfyingly long time in Italy. But until then, I will make some shorter visits. I'm thinking of this summer.

Question: any U.S. 50 - 60 years old on this forum with Italy experience that you would like to tell me about?
