How is the weather this time of year? I have never visited Rome in the fall. I imagine sitting in a piazza or on a terrazzo, watching the sun rise as I drink cappuccino and listen to the city wake up.

In your opinion, what is the best area of Rome to visit for a taste of the 'real' Rome, not what tourists generally see?
