I'm a Brit and have lived in France for 13 years. We may be coming to Ferrara this summer to live for 3 years (myself, husband and 2 young children).

I just wondered about the cost of living (UK or French comparisons would be a good reference for me but anything would be useful), schooling for the kids- just what to expect really. I have studied Italian in the past although forgotten most of it as I've been concentrating on French. What type of work could I do with rusty Italian or would I need to get it back up to a good standard first ? Thanks for any info in advance. Mia
