Hi, I was wondering if anyone would know what supports for food allergies are like in Italy. My family and I are planning on staying there for a year or so (Trentino area), and one of my sons have peanut (severe, but not with other tree nuts) and soy (mild) allergies. (Luckily they are not old enough to go to school yet.) I suspect it is not as common to have food allergies over there compared to the U.S. It's good that peanut butter is not as common there but on the other hand, I am afraid there might be less understanding about food allergies. If anyone knows anything about EpiPen availability, finding good allergists, what I should know about food labels, other legal issues, etc. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
