Hi all,

First post here.

This seems to be a nice forum - Paolo seems to have done a good job choosing the software, and updating the news.

I'm an American expat living in Milano. My interests are cooking - especially "ethnic" foods like Indian, Thai, Moroccan, Mexican etc., but I also like to cook Italian. I do computer graphics and some website work (if coerced). I also play a pretty mean blues guitar.

One of my hobbies is growing hot peppers (peperoncini) from all over the world. Last year I grew about 20 varieties, and I use them in my cooking. I'm a moderator on an Italian pepper site http://www.virtualpepper.org/

Welcome Jim,

I would be grateful if you could share a nice spicey Thai recipe using vegetables and the thick noodle, or chicken. Nothing with peanut oil! I've been enjoying the site a lot. People perspectives are very interesting. Hope you enjoy the Forum also.

Ciao,
Contenta

Wow - incredible, Jim ( in arte chiaroscuro). A website just about pepper!
Thanks for joining the forum, great. As I mention I want to use your suggestions on where to shop in Milan for Amrican food on the Articles section. Thanks for letting me do that

Hi jim.
Welcome to the forum.
Would you please send a big hug and kiss to Italy and the Italians around you and tell them I miss them all, in spite of the lines, the arguing, the shopping frustration and the cigarette smoke? :D
Lots of love.

Hello Jim: I just joined this site and saw your entry. I also am a graphic designer and really want to arrange my life so that I can live in Italy at least part of the year.

However, I am just getting started as a freelancer. I worked as an in-house designer for 6 years and am finding it a struggle to get a good income going.

What programs are you using for your design work? I use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and am currently trying to teach myself web programs like Go Live.

How is the design business where you are? Are there any good website you know of that you feel are great examples of current Italian design trends?
