I would like your help please. This might be odd for you but it would be great if you can help me. I ma in the United States and will be moving to Italy for work. I am an executive and I need to know, the most exclusive places, (restaurants, clubs, country clubs and the like). There are functions like the red cross gala in Monaco that I attend for business purposes as well as networking. Do you know of places to go and be seen, and whihc parties and people to be seen with. I ma sure this might sound arrogant but in the industry I work in I need to knwo teh influential people and it would be great if you can help me with this. If not I would appreciatea website that you could recommend for me to look at. Thank you so much for any help you may give me

Ciao!
I don't know any places like the ones you're asking about, but I'll be checking back to find out when somebody else posts some suggestions.
What cities specifically will you be in?

Ciao!
I recently saw a show on the Travel Channel called Passport to Europe with Samantha Jones. She went to Rome and went to a restaurant the likes of which would be what you're looking for. I don't remember the name of it but if you looked her up on the web (and the Travel Channel homepage) you could probably find the name.
Also if you ever need to entertain people or meet people in Siena, you can definitely impress them with this hotel: Hotel Relais Borgo Scopeto. Check them out here: http://www.relaisborgoscopeto.it/SFTWScopeto/xING/relais.asp.
I stayed there for two nights this summer and it was exquisite. Not only the rooms but the dining room was quite possibly close to the best food I've had in Italy.
