Thanks for the clip Villa, I've seen it many times, but it's always a pleasure to see Roberto insulting the dwarf without being afraid at all. :D

There are so many times Benigni talked about Berlusconi, and they're all mustsee, but this is really spontaneous and felt.

"Ripeto diciamo, il mio schifo per Berlusconi" so randomly thrown inside a sentence! :D

A true comedy genius.

Aliena, how could be best translated Psiconano?
Psychodwarf?

Absolutely! Psychodwarf is 100% correct. :D :D

"The real case against Berlusconi in my view is not that he is just a scoundrel but that he has been a failure.
History presented Berlusconi with opportunities to reform Italy that he not only failed to take but deliberately
spurned. In one sentence, he put himself and not Italy first. Italy is a generally right-of-
centre country that is in desperate need of economic, social and civic change. It has to be doubted whether the
left can carry out those necessary changes without provoking the regional, criminal and post-fascist opposition
and violence that are all still part of Italian public life. Probably only the centre-right can do this.
But that is precisely where Berlusconi has failed."

"Dogged for years by criminal charges that could bring him down, Berlusconi has made saving his skin the subject
of his government over the past two years. A raft of laws and other measures have been rammed through parliament,
whose object - whatever his claims to the contrary - has been to get Berlusconi off the hook."
What has Berlusconi ever done for Italy? Well ... | Comment is ...Martin Kettle: We need to do better
than just the usual mouthing off against the Italian prime minister.

Villa The only reason Berlusconi is in trouble is because he is at the government - I do not believe it is true that "Dogged for years by criminal charges that could bring him down, Berlusconi has made saving his skin the subject of his government over the past two years "
If Berlusconi would step down from the Goverment I believe that all the charges would go away - That he does all this just for his own profit I do not believe - He might do it for his Ego ( desire of power ) but I do not think that at 73 he thinks he needs more that the 10 Billion or so he already has. I do not follow so closely however since I spend so much time in the US and whan I am in Italy ( like the last 6 weeks ) I tend to stay on vacation spots so I hope somebody can pick up the other side -

Paolo I must disagree, just take a look at this link:
http://www.kensan.it/articoli/Curriculum_giudiziario_di_Silvio_Berlusconi.php

I don't think that Silvio went into politics just to save his arse from all those charges, but being the lawmaker surely helped not going to jail foreverandever.
And the real question is: how can someone still be Prime Minister, and be voted by people, despite the huge quantity of pending or past trials, not to mention links with two kind of illegal organizations.
Or maybe it's those links that brought him where he is?

Now you're talking! E quasi peggio che Dubya.

Unfortunately I do not know enough of the details to give a good answer - I have no time to look at links now - and it is not so useful since in this political matters you look at a link it says white - you look at another link it says black ... I recive for example articles on Obama that are completely opposite ... anyway I was supposed to have the new website software ready for testing by now but nothing is working !
I am getting old to do programming and I do not know Php (the new programming language for life in Italy ) but I need to get out a php book and see what is happening therefore I will almost disappear for the next 2 weeks I think - I will only be around to do some moderating and I will onle be able to answer beutiful women :-)

Hi Zidanie
I am not strong enough to fight :-) Plus you would have to find a conservative for Berlusconi side and a republican for the US election debate - Here on this forum everybody seems to be on one side ...

Yes, where is Frank? Frank is the guy we all love to hate.
I almost miss the guy. Right wing to the extreme, down right(no pun intended)obnoxious at times, odious, revolting, destasteful,
offensive, foul mouth, gross, invidious and even somewhat charming at times. Where is he? Frank come back. Or don't.
Just kidding Frank.
