View Full Version : Ban her now!
Zidanie5 08-21-2008, 02:48 PM I open this thread (in the wrong place probably) to ask Paolo or anyone else who can to ban forever and ever the user "mylovelyself".
She is just a set-up for a very well known truffa.
After coming to the forum she sent me this MP:
Hello
How are you doing there? Just to let you know that I'm interested in you after going through your profile in this site www.my.lifeinitaly.com. I want to get a friend here to tour with. If you are interested in knowing more about me and to recieve my personal details and pictures kindly write me through my private e-mail address at angelidickson@yahoo.com. I await your nice response to my private yahoo mail address given above.
Thanks
Angeli
I answered that I have a girlfriend so I was not interested, and when she said that she just needed a travel companion I told her Ok.
Then she sent the e-mail in my next post to my Yahoo Mail account.
This is a trick to steal money from noobs, used a lot on the web.
So BAN THAT BITCH a vita.
I want to suggest anyone who has had any talk with her to ignore her requests, that's just bullshit to take your money.
Paolo, please ban her and block the IP. This is a real threat to the users, I am an experienced web user so I recognized it, but someone less aware of Internet dangers can fall to the trick and waste lots of money
BEWARE BOYS!
PS: Sorry for the bad words, but I'm kinda angry.
Sorry also for not doing this by PMing one of the admins, but everyone needs to know.
Zidanie5 08-21-2008, 02:49 PM This is the mail she sent me, anyone with a little web experience can recognize the truffa.
Hello Dearest
How are you today, this is your friend Angeli , I am so much grateful by your mail and the love you have showed me. Please accept my sincere apologies if my email does not meet your personal ethics, I really like to have a good relationship with you, and I have a special reason why I decided to contact you because of the urgency of my situation here and I see you as someone reliable who can help me out.
Please I write not only to introduce myself to you but also seeking for your assistance. I know that the receipt of my communication shall be a great surprise to you considering the fact that we did not know each other before but I am happy to come in contact with you.
I am Miss. Angeli Dickson 23years old girl from Sudan, the only daughter of
Late Engr.Jabah Dickson, who was the Chairman of Gruv-Melton Oil and Gas Company a private extracting oil firm in sudan who was Killed in Darfur -Sudan by rebels . I need you to stand as my trustee or partner for me to have my freedom once again. I am constrained to contact you because of the maltreatment I am receiving from my step mother and his adopted son Albert who claim to be my blood brother. They planned to take away all my late father's treasury and properties from me since the unexpected death of my beloved Father.
Meanwhile I wanted to escape to the Europe but they hide away my international passport and other valuable traveling documents. Luckily they did not discover where I kept my Father's File which contains important documents. So I decided to run to the refugee camp where I am presently seeking asylum under the United Nations High Commission for the Refugee here in Dakar, Republic of Senegal.
My father deposited the sum of US$7,300, 000.00 (Seven Million Three Hundred Thousand US Dollars) in one of the prime bank in custody of my name as the next of kin of which I need you to stand as my trustee or partner to get the money released or transfer. However, I shall forward to you with the necessary information of the deposit on confirmation of your acceptance to assist me as my trustee and partner because i need a foreigner to make it successful.
It is my intention to compensate you with 20% of the money for accepting to help me as my trustee and partner in seeing that the money is released and transfered to you. You will follow a legal process to make successful and I will aslo assist to provide information necessary. This is the reason why I decided to contact you. The Priest in our camp has permitted me to use his computer twice a day if I want and that is why I am able to see your contact in seeking for your help.
I am staying at the female hostel. Awaiting your urgent and positive response. Please do keep this only to your self please I beg you not to disclose it to a third party till I come over, once the fund has been transferred into your account. I hope my explanation is very clear but if you need further clarification, then send me your questions.
Thanks as I hope to receive from you soon. below is my picture
Yours Sincerely
Angeli Dickson
jeaniegina 08-21-2008, 04:46 PM Oh wow, Zidanie. That is definitely a SCAM. I have received these kinds of e-mails myself and they are pretty well-known as scams. I hope no one here on the forum (or anywhere else) would fall for them.
Thanks for alerting us to this person.
Paolo - I hope you will ban her. Of course, this person will try again under a different name, but we will find them.
Zidanie5 08-21-2008, 05:30 PM Jeaniegina I did not know how they are called in English.
Anyways I noticed this is a very well made one, not just sending random e-mails, a big preparation behind it, so it's easier to believe.
Hoping no one falls to it.
Danno 08-21-2008, 05:58 PM I too get these spam letters all the time, at least 5 a day and they go right into my spam folder. It is amazing that these people actually get someone to respond and take their money. They actaully come out of Africa, they sit in little internet cafes and lure people in. One of our News stations did an undercover show on this. If it is too good to be true then it isn't True. What did her picture look like? :D
Zidanie5 08-21-2008, 06:08 PM Pretty but not my kind, Danno :D
Anyways I did not know they also create forum's accounts just to set up better their story. They're becoming more subtle :)
jeaniegina 08-21-2008, 06:58 PM Actually, the correct term in English is "scam" as opposed to "spam". Spam is just advertisements that you didn't want. A scam is an actual attempt to defraud someone.
Ronald82 08-21-2008, 07:03 PM i knew this kind of emails..yes its a scam and i never believe them..watched in Oprah how to stay safe in internet and not to fall to scam...
emails that says:
- you have won something
- your email has been chosen for a lottery
- need your help in securing a bank transaction
- gain money from working at home
- answer surveys and get paid
ARE ALL SCAM AND NOT TRUE..SO BEWARE!

All of my "scam" goes into my "spam" folder. I don't have a Scam folder . That would be nice if we could separate them out.
:D
Sophia1 08-21-2008, 09:49 PM Hi Zidanie
That is awful the fact that she registered on the forum. I get those emails everyday it is annoying but ends up going into my spam folder for SCAM emails.
I think they mainly pray on older people mainly guys, who are unable to get women and see a photo of a pretty girl and the process of upstairs for thinking and downstairs for dancing does an immediate switch over.
It must work on a lot of people otherwise they would not do it.
Regards
Sophia
Aliena 08-21-2008, 10:52 PM Paolo has soted it out.
Anyone interested in finding out more about these type of "scams" can have a look here..

Ha ha, Sophie. Very well said!
James 08-22-2008, 06:55 PM Glad you did not become a victim Zidanie. Thanks for letting us know about it

Thanks James, well this tricks don't ever work on me,
As Aliena can confirm you, we Neapolitans are way too clever to fall to cheats :)
Aliena by clever I mean "cazzimm" but I think it cannot be translated.
Aliena 08-23-2008, 01:50 AM Hmm.. cazzimm.. I dunno if there is an exact word for it in English.. ma teng a cazzimm Zidanie! :D
It is a mixture of meaness, egoism and spite.. but somehow not exactly a negative. I suppose the word "furbo/a" (wily, sly, underhand, streetwise, clever) is the one I would prefer over cazzimm.
The reason Neapolitans don't fall for scams like this is because they invented them first.. this makes them "cazzimm".. one step ahead. :D
Zidanie5 08-23-2008, 03:53 AM Aliena I never knew such a great word as "streetwise". I think it's the closest you can get to give the meaning of "cazzimm".
And no, it's not a negative word, it depends on its usage.
