My husband's company is transferring us to Modena, Italy. We are scared and excited. So, I was very excited to find this forum and website. We've bought several survival guide books with checklists of things we will need to do. As for now, we are trying to negotiate the price of our rent for an apartment into the contract. Like one other post I saw here, there are lots of rental places for vacation or short term lease, but not long term lease and very little in Modena. There are several in Bologna, but that is too far away. Does anyone have a contact or website for apartments in Modena?

Thank you,

ciao penlight

welcome to life in italy...

i have been to Modena once to visit the Ferrari Museum..i stay in Piacenza, the same region: Emilia Romagna as Modena...

try google-ing 'appartamento per affitasi modena'. maybe you'll get something
or ask the secretary of your husband company in Modena if she knows any places to rent, its better to ask the locals...

good luck with you apartment search and i am sorry i couldn't be more of a help...

Welcome, Penlight. My company does marketing for Fattorie Giacobazzi in Modena (balsamic vinegar of Modena)and I am hoping to be able to visit some time next year. I hope you will remain on the forum throughout your move and life in Modena. I will be very interested to hear about it. Ronald's suggestions are good ones. Best of luck with your search for a place to live.
