The gerund is formed by dropping the infinitive ending(-are, -ere, or -ire -
and adding -ando for -are verbs and -endo for -ere and -ire verbs

Elisabetta e tornata a casa piangendo. Elisabetta went back home crying.

Provide the gerundio present for the following verbs.
sapere, capire, vedere, accompagnare, fare, credere, pensare, salpare, uscire, festeggiare, dare, venire smettere, seguire, aiutare, potee, vincere, piangere, volere, sentire

sapendo, capendo, vedendo accompagnando...

The gerund is normally preceded by the appropriate form of stare/estar. E.g., Sto parlando. Spanish is very similar. Estoy hablando.
