I have used freetranslation.com and it's okay sometimes, but it tends to translate literally which often doesn't work at all. It has really given me some screwy translations, having nothing to do with the actual phrase, both english to italian and italian to english. I would definitely not rely on that web-site.

Capisco. Have noticed this fenomeno anche.

Although for single words va bene o per lo meno meglio.
