Dear visitors

I’m playing with the thoughts of moving/ re-allocating to Italy; for that reason I did search for a small house to live. I did find the following properties possible interesting for me :

the house
this property is situated in the valley of the Majella mountains, perched against the mountains with beautiful views of the Gran Sasso mountains. Well known for its Health Spa Resort and as this attracts many tourists and locals throughout the year, many of the towns have been restructured. This is an area situated close to the motorway and therefore Rome and Pescara can be reached with ease. The property is real good value for money and is ideal for people who enjoy the mountains and as it snows a few weeks every year it is ideal for skiing as there are also various skiing resorts in the vicinity. It is close to the Valle Orfento River where there are still many otters.

I would appreciate any information/help to orientate myself and try to make the picture complete before undertake the for me big step.

greetings from Holland

Hi trees

Both properties look lovely, however I'd be careful of anything that needs even "partial" restoration until you've had written quotes for the work. My guess is that the first property would cost at least twice a much as the purchase price to restore properly. Many estate agents here use a guide of between euro 1000-3000 per square metre to restore, so a 65m2 house could cost euro 65,000+ to restore, dependant upon the work required.

Follow your heart, but only after you have written quotes for the work!

Best of luck
