I am an Italian American who is trying to get away from eating the Italian food that we have here in America. Does anyone here have an authentic recipe for homemade tomatoe sauce? I'm guessing that things like garlic powder and overpowering amounts of herbs are a big no no but I was wondering if someone could share a recipe with me.

Well keep it simple then.
The way I make it is:
Add to a pan 2 /3 cloves of Garlic - olive oil and red pepper to taste -
Saute ?? Put several tomatoes in a food processor and blend them in a sauce - Before the garlic turns brown I add the tomatoes to the olive oil and garlic - I then add Parceley ( sometimes ) or Basil - Cook and serve ! Maybe I will take a video - It is very easy to make and for me the simpler the better
