Is there a way to get a visa when trying to enter Italy?

I am a US citizen, married an Indian citizen - she has an Indian passport, US greencard. I now know she needs a visa to enter (8 days, tourism - Rome). Problem is that we don't have it. Why's are not relevant now, only thing relevant now is that it will cost WAY too much to not go on the trip...

So - if we have all required documentation, meet all the requirements, is there a way to get the required visa at the immigration control point in the Rome (FCO) airport????

we are pretty confident that we will not be able to travel over 30 hours in a car in the next couple days - so there just has to be another 'quick' way... right?

mieshflam@hotmail.com is a good way to get to me quick...

THANK YOU!

Pobably since she has a US green card it will be ok but you sould check by calling the Italian embassy or the Italian consulate - Also look on the web for Italian tourist office - THey might be able to tell you

There may be restrictions on her travel if she is also currently applying for US citizenship. Paolo is dead-on; if you have not personally spoken to a rep with both the US Embassy/Consulate (any) in Italy AND have not consulted with US Immigration/Naturalization (re traveling with an American Resident Permit), DO SO IMMEDIATELY.
