Guess what everyone, I just spent a week in Berlin and I have to say that it is not true that Italians are mostly pre-occupied with eating when they travel. The Pergamom Museum was so filled with Italian tour groups, more than any other nationality, that I got free tours just listening. What a beautiful and fascinating city Berlin is!It has so many under currents, the Marlina Dietrich era, the Nazi era, the Communist era, the wall, there are still occasional bas reliefs of Lenin on Soviet vintage buildings, Goebel's former ministry of propoganda is now the unemployement office...there are still pictures of Jack and Jackie Kennedy all over...


I highly recommend it for the museums alone...truely amazing...also the Egyptian museum with that famous bust of Queen Nefertiti, she should be the Miss Universe even today...what a beauty that Cleopatra doesn't even come close...LOL.
