Hello to All!
Exactly 40 years ago I came to Italy from Czechoslovakia. I have been living here ever since, although my job permitted me to travel a lot and I spent several months in the UK and went to the US twenty three times.
As a compensation of my work in research laboratories, I took to gardening. Noth of Rome I purchased 2 hectars and soon I had planted many trees and shrubs, but mostly the flowers I love most: Daffodils.
Although my collection is not as large as it was in the eighties, I still grow more than 700 daffodil varieties now. My garden at Monte Porzio Catone is open to visitors in March and April. Just give me a call (06 9447769) and you may visit for free. My this year's daffodil show is already the twentieth edition of the "Mostra del Narciso".
It is easy to come: please find the map in my son's website www.florianabulbose.eu. In fact he followed my footsteps and is now running the well known nursery Floriana Bulbose.
Should you need any suggestions on how to best grow bulbs in Italy, please contact me by phone. I love to help. From the website you can also look up my on-line book on easy to grow bulbs, called "Il Sentiero Verde dei Bulbi".
Sincerely Yours
Henry
