Hello,
I am an educator at a Florida hospital in the US. The hospital is doing a celebration of "Healthcare Around the World". For the Education department, we are doing a representation of Italy.

I have tried sending emails to a couple of hospitals in Italy, with no response. I am not sure if they are going thru, I did have one that came back, because of a delivery failure. I just found out two days ago that I was doing this and that it is due on Thursday Dec. 7th.

What I need, is to find someone that can help me out, with what it is like at an Italian hospital. What they want us to do is...
1. Have sample menus, of the type of food that would be served.
2. How would the employees dress, or the dress code.
3. What would the environment look like such as the lobby area?
4. Key language words
5. Do the families take care of their family members that are in the hospital?
6. Pictures, Pictures and more Pictures.

I usually do more than just a poster. I have pictures, video as much as possible. I want to make them feel like they are in Italy.

If anyone is willing to help, or you know someone at a hospital that would be willing to help, I would appreciate it.

Thank You,
Jilliebrown

In Italy email are unfotunately rarely answered so I am not surprised.
I am attaching 4 images that I took outside the children Hospital in Rome "Bambin Gesu' " this summer in July 2007. My six year old son got sick while I was on vacation and they treated him right away. The admittance was immediate and corteous. Trey treated him and send him back so he did not eat food there. Excellent service and free of any charge. I must say that when I went to the children hospital in DC 3 years ago I was shocked that the food the Hospital was serving in its cafeteria was junk: Fried chicken and burgers ... ouch ! - I also went recently to the Adventist hospital for adults in the Dc area as well : here it looked more that I was checking into a high class Hotel... So even in my area near DC there are great differences and I assume it will be the same in Italy.
If you want a real report with lots of images you can send Pasquale the Lifeinitaly photographer to shoot them. I only have the attached 4 images.

Thank you Paolo, for getting back with me so fast. Sorry for not getting back with you before now. I have been out of town for the holiday.

It is so nice to hear that they treated you so well. Our Cafe' has a hot bar, a grill, gourmet fire oven pizza, three gourmet dishes a day (meat, fish & chcken), fresh made sandwiches, soup, fruit and salad bar and a bakery with ice cream. So you will have to come to Lakeland and try it out. Not the hospital but the Cafe'.

I will also get with Pasquale to see about pictures.

Thank you again for the help.
