I noticed that we have a lot of posts that could be articles. I was thinking then add wiki capabilities to the forum.
Basically that will mean that members will have the possibility to start a wikipedia format article instead of a post.
I am debating it however since there is already
a photo image section
a video section
a food section
and many more features so I am feeling that I am changing the website into a Swiss Army knife

That'll teach me to vote without reading the manifest properly!! Cancel my vote from "pro Wiki" to "maybe in the future".

hmmm...? wikis are hard to keep track of to ensure they are accurate and stay within the guidelines set out by the site that's running it. Also as you say Paolo, there are already many different sections, one more might make the information disjointed and harder for members to get to. Plus it makes your job harder!;)
My vote is for no wiki

Maybe i am wrong, but by adding this feature, would it slow the site down a bit? I mean we already have many features as it is and i would think by adding something that is update able by every user here in combination with the photo galleries and video galleries, it might slow the server

Sorry about this delayed reply.
Sardoman: That what I a concerned as well so I will postpone.
What made me think about wiking is: There are lots of good posts and sometimes long story that could be presented to search engine and us better: There was a post for example from Villa on Franca Viola

This post will probably hadr to find on the forum.....
Anyway lets wait - maybe when we have more users it will be easy to start a wiki format -

JoeItalia7 : The server is now almost idle : this forum is running from a dedicated server and at the moment is only handling 1000 visitors a day more or less. ( the main website is running on a different server and it is handling up to 20,000 visitors a day )
