A big scandal up here in Milano province...... a 33 year old female mathematics teacher (working as a substitute this past saturday at the school) in a Nova Milanese public school was arrested for conducting indecent sexual acts with minors in the classroom .... and I won't go into detail...you can read it when you see the media publications/hear the news. The story has not yet appeared on ANSA, but it will soon I am sure of that.

My husband and I were driving home from Monza park early sunday afternoon when we heard the disgusting news on Captial Radio and then last evening on the Mediaset Television channel. At first we did not believe it.

Everyone is talking about the event and parents are horrified. Women here in my community are disgusted.

Something like this certainly does not do justice to women in general....And, now especially when you see some stupid 33 year old woman acting so immorally in a public school. And, we all thought the "Porno teacher" (previous postings) was something to rave about....this is far worse.....but then, she just might be another one of those who seeks media attention and publicity.

I wonder sometimes when I hear stories like this about teachers who seduce students, who essentially use their power to do some kind of horrific thing, what goes on in their minds?

In a way it's fascinating to know it happens in other countries -- we hear about it here in the States but not about other places -- because that begs the question about cultural bases for those kinds of activities.

And aside from all that, I really don't understand how people would think this kind of thing is okay... and that may be the point right there. The confusion may be mine, in that applying logic to a mind that doesn't work logically will always result in some kind of chaos.

This is what we heard. They have school here on saturdays. A substitute mathematics teacher goes into an ongoing physical education class and asks the phys-ed teacher if she can take several of the male students out of the class because they have to get some extra schooling for math....they had bad marks etc. So this math teacher takes these male students to another classroom in the school. Later the physical education teacher goes to search for the other students that were pulled out of her class.... and she goes and opens the door to a classroom (the door obviously was not locked) and she sees the math teacher completely naked laying on a table and .........this was at a public school. This is what we heard.

Wow... yes, this woman definitely crossed about a hundred lines. :eek:

What ever happened to her?
Did she ever give an explanation for why she thought this would be acceptable?

What are Italians' reactions to this?
