Having worked for 2 Japanese companies and having met several people from Japan, I am curious to see how many such folks we will come across on our fall 2008 trip. Even though we'll be spending much time near Lago di Bolsena, I understand there is a language school there w/a market of Japanese "language learners". Just curious....

Was in Perugia, Italy last July. I met a family there where the father was Japanese and the mother was Italian. They had a nice looking boy about 15 years old. He had been born and raised in Italy.

There were some people from Japan that I met but most of the people in Italy now seem to be Chinese.
