Ciao everyone,
My name is Joe, but you can call me Giuseppe. I am 22 years old and i live in Chicago. I am a full blooded Italian, half Calabrese and half Genovese. I too am very interested in the culture, and would definitely love to make a trip there. Hopefully ill eventually purchase a home of some sort that i can go to when i travel there. I would also love to learn the language, i've attempted but never continued because things got busy. I hope to learn a lot on these forums, and make friends with people that would enjoy sharing experiences and maybe helping me with my italian.

This is also my first post, although I have been reading the forum and articles on this site for months. You're in good hands. I find that the regulars are helpful and post many interesting and informative articles.
If your interested in continuing to learn the Italian language, try the Pimsleur language program audio. You can probable find it at your local library. I have been using it for several months now and it has been very helpful and fun. I did purchase my own set and I'm almost finished with Italian I and will be continue onto Italian II.
in bocca al lupo!

Hi,
You seem to have many great plans, and for help and advice, in my opinion, this is the best site on the internet to come to.
I myself am learning Italian, and hope to go there some day...but if you want to learn Italian, there are a few helpful pointers on this thread:

Best wishes for your plans for yourself and Italy, and hope you have a good time on the forum!:)
