Well here we have an amazing opportunity to discuss the whole topic of Italy, to express whether like it, love it, don't know it or can't stand the place- what an opportunity...!
I have been here for 12 years, I came here without knowing how to speak any Italian yet with a beautiful Venetian air-hostess who I did not wanna lose! I got my head down, got into it, accepted the differences between this place and my home country (England).
Since then I have worked in garden centres for people who would scream at me in a language I couldn't understand and would try to con me on my wages etc. I've worked on the crazy motorway building sound-barriers, i've worked with HIV sufferers and the mentally handicapped and been treated brilliantly and terribly by the people on the way yet still I totally love this country and all its given me. Italy has given many things from the chance to realize my dream of becoming an international garden designer to falling in love with some amazing females but most of all this country has offered me its heart, and for that i'll be eternally grateful...!

Hey there! I'm in Arizona now, but will be moving to Italy in late November. I joined this forum to learn as much as I possibly can about the country and people. Hopefully I will go to Italy feeling comfortable with the information I get from here! So if I ask any stupid questions, it's only because I come here completely clueless!! :-)
