I think you need another option in your poll for "neither".

I teach English in Sardinia and have mentioned Dolly Parton to my students before and they had no idea who she was. I wouldn't even attempt to ask them who Lucille Ball was. :confused:

I never heard about Lucille Ball.... =(

I take it "I Love Lucy" is not and was never popular in Italy, which does not suprise me really.
