Hello. My name is Gianna and I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to all of you. I found this site by chance while poking around the internet yesterday, and I am delighted that I did.

My parents are both Italian, but my sister and I were born in California. I have been travelling to Italy since I was 6 months old and have a profound love of the Country. My family is from Varazze, a coastal town approx. 25 minutes Northwest of Genova.

I look forward to reading the suggestions, recommendations and comments from the members of Life in Italy. It's a wonderful learning tool.

What is your favorite part of Italy? I haven't been to enough areas to know what my favorite is for the entire country, but so far I'm enamored of Rome, and Siena.
