Where do you live / where are this trees located ? Paolo sardoman 10-16-2007, 01:23 AM Mature trees that produce quality fruit are very sought after, you should definately make enquiries of local garden centres / landscapers. sheilamarsco 10-16-2007, 02:59 PM well they're not that old only youngsters really about 25 or 30 years old i live in the abruzzo region near penne Aliena 10-16-2007, 08:43 PM Sheila, you need to check with your commune that it's OK for you to remove them first. bubbles 10-18-2007, 04:14 AM Sheila, definitely sounds like you need to get them evaluated by an expert. A friend of mine made a small fortune out of selling hers. sheilamarsco 10-18-2007, 07:50 PM ok thanks i'll do that sheilamarsco 10-18-2007, 07:51 PM but who should i contact to evaluate them! Aliena 10-18-2007, 08:51 PM Sheila, before you even think about removing or valuing these trees, please make a trip to your local commune and make sure that you do not need any special permission to remove the trees. If you remove the trees and later find out permission was required, you will be fined and that could take a good chunk or more than the total as a fine from the amount you make by selling them. Approach a local nursery/garden centre to see if they would be interested in buying them and/or to get some general idea what the going rate is for similar trees if you want to sell privately, as nuseries have the specialist machinery to dig up, wrap the roots and transpost the trees. I have seen the replies you received elsewhere on the internet and simply advise you to take no notice of the mean spirited response you had from at least one arrogant individual. jonathan 10-19-2007, 12:05 AM Hello Sheila, wherabouts in Italy are you, how many trees do you have and what is the circumference of the trunks.Let's see what we can do...! Regards, Jonathan www.ecologicagardens.com sheilamarsco 10-19-2007, 01:14 PM hi there aliena thank you so much for your kind reply i felt as if i was a criminal when all i want to do, apart from earning a little money to finish of the renovation work,is to ensure that the trees don't become overgrown and begin to die because i can't manage the work. i'll take your advice and consult the commune. thanks once again sheilamarsco 10-19-2007, 01:21 PM hi there jonathan i live near bisenti in the abruzzo region, i have 25 trees and they are approximately 80cms in circumfrance. thanks |
