View Full Version : Riposa in pace Luciano Pavarotti - Book of Condolances James 09-06-2007, 09:00 AM http://www.corriere.it/Primo_Piano/Cronache/2007/09_Settembre/06/morto_luciano_pavarotti.shtml :( jacqueline 09-06-2007, 06:29 PM Here, I'd like to leave my condolances and my sorrow for such a great man, who has left his legacy behind; one that will never die. Traveller 09-08-2007, 05:19 AM Waking up to the radio yesterday morning, I was very sad to hear of Luciano's passing. Other than having listened to him on the radio or one of the numerous CDs that I bought for my mom, or watching the Three Tenors either on TV or on the DVD that I also bought for my mom, I knew very little about him. My mother on the other hand, knew him quite well. Luciano performed a few times (maybe more) with the Montreal Synphony Orchestra where my mother was a member for 35 years, first playing the violin and later, the viola. Little did I know that he lived in Modena, a city I drove through last summer while on my way from Rovereto to Livorno. If I had his address, I would have visited him. His facial expression is one of an open hearted person... http://www.lucianopavarotti.com/luciano-pavarotti1.jpg I'd like to find out where he will be buried. I'd like to visit the next time I'm there. He has left behind far more than anyone could have for all to enjoy for eternity. 2uYrmYXsujI A voice from God James 09-08-2007, 08:12 AM He will be buried in Modena I believe I read on Saturday 9/8/07. Traveller 09-08-2007, 06:14 PM He will be buried in Modena I believe I read on Saturday 9/8/07. Just south of Modena in Montale Rangone which I drove through the summer of 2006. I'll definitely stop there the next time I pass through. singapore63 09-08-2007, 07:38 PM The world mourns Luciano Pavarotti and I too above all as an italian have lived these days with sadness. The whole world will be listening today to his voice on every radio and television station that will continue and that is his legacy. Everything already has been said but I like to remember not only this big tenor for his thrilling voice, his exuberant personality but above all for Pavarotti & Friends, benefit concerts with top rock stars that helped collect 5 million Euro for displaced people in various conflict areas.:( Thank you Luciano for your music shared with all people. bubbles 09-12-2007, 02:51 AM Luciano Pavarotti was one of those great singers who literally demonstrated that music has no boundaries. Audiences all around the world, some of whom had no idea what the lyrics of his opera songs meant, wept through the passion and emotions evoked by his golden voice. His legacy would continue to inspire generations of singers and musicians to come. paolo 09-13-2007, 09:50 PM Queen + Luciano Pavarotti - Too Much Love Will Kill You C7FGPIRJx6I Queen is one of my preferred groups of all time so this I think is a different but nice performance |
