Welcome friend! What part of Australia are you from? I personally want to visit Perth, as much as I do Adelaide to watch Australian Rules Football! That is such a fun sport to watch.

As far as house swapping, I can't help you too much. If you are younger and in school you could always do a foreign exchange program. If not, you can check our Real Estate section for rentals in Italy, depends on when and where you'd like to stay. Maybe someone else can chime in for us.
