Italy gets park and ride scheme

A park where passionate young couples can have sex freely is set to open.

It is meant to help those who find it hard to be intimate because high property prices force them to live with their parents for longer.

They will pay £2 to enter the park in the southern port of Bari and £1 for every 30 minutes they stay.

Founder Giuseppe Foggetti said: 'My idea was to create a place for those that want to spend intimate moments together without thinking whether someone would be shocked if they saw it. I will offer security and privacy.'

Probably the best thing since sliced bread. Go Italy! I'm not sure if this ever happened, the article was written back in January.

I'm wondering do they have secluded little wooded glens, or small shacks, or grassy knolls... ?

Hmmm... if they charged tourists to walk through the park, that might create some revenue! :D Okay, I'm kidding, though I imagine tourists will definitely visit - for one reason or another.

I'm curious as well, Dan, whether this actually happened. Let's find out if they opened this park. In all seriousness, I think it's a pretty cool concept, and the fact that it's happening in Italy, the seat of the seat of Catholicism, is quite a feat.
